National Conference of Effectiveness Research 2026

Effectiveness research in times of uncertainty
Conference of Effectiveness Research 2026 will be held on October 6th-7th in Kuopio. The theme of the days is Effectiveness research in times of uncertainty. We are living in an era in which societal, economic, and ecological changes occur simultaneously, rapidly, and in ways that are difficult to predict. In times of uncertainty, there is a particular need for research-based, risk-aware, and value-driven solutions that can withstand public debate, political pressure, and economic realities. Research does not provide ready-made answers, but it offers the foundations for making well‑reasoned and responsible choices. This is precisely why the role of effectiveness research becomes central.
